Welcome to Tomboy Glamour! I’m Brittany, the blogger-in-chief who believes that running is much more fun when projectiles are involved and that dresses can be just as comfortable as jeans.

I’m a Forever 31-year-old journalist who writes for The Daily Camera newspaper in Boulder, Colo. My beat (yup, it’s a real word we use in the biz’) is higher education. I also write men’s fashion for McClatchy News-Tribune and author daily articles on fashion and fitness for the Online Shopping Report at ShopAtHome.com.

In the beginning of October, I'll be starting a new career as an investigator retained by the federal government. I'll maintain my freelance business and Tomboy Glamour will be my home base and creative outlet.

My boyfriend is Kevin, and he looks darn good in bow ties if you ask me. He’s got huge muscles and an even huge-r heart.

Our dog, Tyson Barkford, also loves bow ties. And bacon. And he rolls down the window for himself when he goes on rides. You can catch him sunbathing in our front yard every morning -- collecting pets from passersby. Tyson used to go to doggy day care. Until he got kicked out for “excessive humping.”

 I’m hoping Tomboy Glamour can be a fun place to write, share outfit ideas and some of my favorite recipes.
